Yes, some are to be expected. Most people have redness, swelling, and a visible grid-like pattern on the skin immediately afterwards. These marks fade over a few days and usually shed within 7 days, though for some they can last up to two weeks. Itching, tenderness, and a sunburn-like sensation are common in the first 24-72 hours, and mild bruising, dryness, or flaking may occur. Less commonly, superficial burns, blisters, or temporary pigment changes can arise, particularly in sensitive skin. All possible side effects are discussed at your consultation.

Yes. EXION® Clear RF involves more downtime than many non-invasive treatments, and visible recovery should be expected. Redness, swelling, and a grid-like pattern on the skin are normal in the first few days, and grid marks or crusting often last up to a week, sometimes longer. Most people return to everyday activities within 24-48 hours, but the skin is still healing during this time. We recommend avoiding sun exposure, active skincare ingredients, and strenuous exercise for several days to support recovery.

Most people tolerate it well. A topical anaesthetic is applied beforehand for comfort, and the AI-controlled delivery helps keep the single pass efficient and comfortable.

Usually a course of 2 to 5 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on your concerns and the area treated. Maintenance treatments may be suggested every 6 to 12 months.

Improvements usually begin within a few weeks, becoming more noticeable over 2 to 3 months as collagen remodelling continues. Skin can keep improving for several months afterwards.

Keep the skin clean and avoid touching it with unwashed hands. Avoid makeup for 24-72 hours, or until the skin has recovered. Use a broad-spectrum SPF daily and avoid direct sun. Hot showers, saunas, and exfoliating products are best avoided for at least 48 hours. You’ll be advised on skincare products to support healing, hydration, and your results.
