EXION® Body

EXION® Body is a non-invasive treatment that combines radiofrequency (RF) and targeted ultrasound to help firm and tighten the skin and reduce localised fat. By delivering controlled heat and mechanical stimulation to the deeper layers of the skin, it supports the body’s natural production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid – the components behind firmer, smoother skin.

At the same time, its cooling and targeting system directs thermal energy at fat cells to help reduce stubborn, localised deposits in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, and upper arms. Results develop gradually over the weeks following a course of treatments, with individual outcomes shaped by factors such as body composition, the area treated, and aftercare.

How does EXION® Body work?

  • EXION® Body delivers focused RF energy and mechanical stimulation into the deeper layers of the skin (the reticular dermis), activating fibroblasts to support the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. An integrated cooling system helps protect the skin’s surface while thermal energy targets fat at depth.

  • Over a course of treatments, this dual action can support firmer skin and improved contour in areas such as the abdomen, upper arms, and thighs, where localised fat or laxity is common.

What Can I Expect?

You’ll begin with a consultation to assess your goals and confirm whether EXION® Body is suitable for you. If it’s recommended, your practitioner will guide you on preparation, the procedure, and aftercare.

On the day, the area is cleansed and a fine mineral oil applied to aid comfort and applicator movement. The sensation is usually described as warm but comfortable, and the settings are adjusted to your feedback. Sessions typically take 30 to 90 minutes depending on the number of areas, with no downtime. Results appear gradually, developing over the weeks after a short course of sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas can be treated?

Common areas include the abdomen, flanks, arms, and thighs, and other areas with laxity or fat. Up to three areas can be treated in one session.

Is EXION® Body safe?

Yes. EXION® Body is CE-marked and FDA-cleared for its intended uses and is delivered under professional supervision. Your practitioner will check for any contraindications at your consultation.

When will I see results?

Improvements can begin within a few weeks and continue over time. Most people benefit from a course of 4 to 6 treatments.

Is there any downtime?

Minimal. Mild redness or warmth can occur and usually settles quickly.

Who is not suitable?

It isn’t suitable for people with pacemakers or certain medical devices, active skin infections, or specific health conditions. Your practitioner will advise at your consultation.

How should I prepare?

Arrive with clean skin. Shaving may be advised. Avoid lotions and stay well hydrated.

What aftercare is required?

Avoid hot environments and strenuous activity for 24-48 hours, and moisturise and apply SPF 30+ to the treated areas.
