EXOMIND® Treatment in Manchester and Cheshire: Mental Wellness and Health Optimisation

By Dr Libby Artingstall, Medical Director at Projuvenate

At Projuvenate, we take a whole-person approach to wellbeing. We believe that how we look, move, feel, recover, and perform are all deeply connected, which is why we’ve created a medically led clinic that brings together aesthetic wellness, physiotherapy, inner wellbeing, and healthy ageing under one roof.

One of my personal passions, and a real focus of the clinic, is the connection between body and mind, particularly mental wellness. That is a big part of why EXOMIND® is so special to us.

EXOMIND® is a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment designed to support the parts of the brain involved in focus, emotional balance, stress resilience, and cognitive control. We were also the first clinic in the North West to offer this advanced treatment, making it available to clients across Manchester, Cheshire, and beyond.

Why EXOMIND®, and why now?

Many of the people we support are wellness-focused, high-achieving, and operating in demanding environments – professionally, at home, or both. Even when outwardly doing well, they may be quietly noticing subtle shifts:

  • mental sharpness is not quite what it was
  • stress feels harder to buffer
  • sleep is lighter, and recovery takes longer
  • motivation dips or energy feels less consistent
  • they want to feel calmer, clearer, more focused, and more resilient

Others feel good, but recognise that upcoming demands – a leadership push, an intense training block, a major life transition, or a particularly full season – will require greater mental resilience, not less.

This is where EXOMIND® fits naturally into the Projuvenate approach. It is a non-invasive magnetic stimulation therapy, clinically guided, discreet, and designed to support the mental foundations that influence how we think, feel, respond, and perform.

What is EXOMIND?

EXOMIND® is a non-invasive, quick, and comfortable treatment that uses advanced magnetic stimulation to gently activate the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC).

This area of the brain plays an important role in emotional regulation, decision-making, and self-perception. It helps us evaluate information, regulate impulses, and respond with greater clarity, so that our actions align more consistently with our values and goals.

Through neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to strengthen and reorganise neural connections in response to stimulation and learning – EXOMIND® is designed to support the neural pathways involved in how we think, feel, and function.

How does EXOMIND work?

In today’s fast-paced world, stress, overstimulation, and the pursuit of quick rewards show up daily for most people. Under sustained load, the prefrontal cortex can become less effective. This can contribute to reduced emotional regulation, impaired cognitive control, heightened stress reactivity, and more impulsive decision-making.

EXOMIND® integrates ExoTMS™ technology, an evolution of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and delivers targeted electromagnetic pulses designed to generate activity in the left DLPFC.

This stimulation is intended to support brain connectivity by strengthening existing neural pathways and encouraging the formation of new, more efficient connections over time.

Stimulation of this region has also been associated with activity in neurotransmitter systems involved in mood regulation, motivation, and attention, including dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline.

In simple terms, EXOMIND® can be thought of as structured stimulation for the brain, designed to support mental clarity, composure, and resilience.

EXOMIND® near Manchester Airport: Projuvenate in the North West

Projuvenate is located at Manchester Green, next to Manchester Airport, with excellent connectivity for clients across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Merseyside, and for anyone flying into Manchester who wants to prioritise mental wellness as part of a broader health optimisation plan.

We were the first clinic in the North West to offer EXOMIND®, introducing this next-generation technology in a medically led environment where suitability, safety, and the wider clinical picture always come first.

Why we created Projuvenate: moving beyond reactivity

Throughout medical school and much of my career as a doctor, the focus was on learning how the body and mind work, how to recognise when something goes wrong, and how to respond. That foundation is essential.

But over time, I became increasingly interested in a different question: how do we help people be well, stay well, and strengthen themselves in a proactive way, so they can meet the demands of life not only now, but over the long term?

That thinking is at the heart of Projuvenate. We created a space where clients can take purposeful, informed action to support wellbeing, protect vitality, and invest in how they feel and function over time.

For me, mental wellness is not simply the absence of difficulty. It is focus. It is emotional balance. It is resilience under pressure. It is the kind of inner strength that shapes how we think, respond, function, and perform. That is exactly why EXOMIND® has such a natural place within our clinic.

What does the evidence say?

A paper published in the Journal of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Disorders evaluated ExoTMS™ brain stimulation technology, the platform associated with EXOMIND®, for enhancing mental wellbeing using the validated Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS).

In the study, 33 subjects (average age approximately 50) received four sessions, with wellbeing measured at baseline, post-treatment, and at 1- and 3-month follow-up. The authors reported statistically significant improvements in WEMWBS scores (p < 0.001), with average increases of +6.7 points post-treatment, +7.6 points at 1 month, and +6.8 points at 3 months.

Participants also self-reported improvements across areas such as mood, confidence, mental energy, perceived stress, and sleep onset and quality. The authors concluded that the findings support ExoTMS™ as a promising approach for enhancing mental wellbeing, with high reported comfort and satisfaction.

It is important to interpret research thoughtfully and in context. This paper is encouraging, but it is one part of a wider evidence landscape, and at Projuvenate we always focus on clinical appropriateness, safety, and how EXOMIND® fits within an integrated plan.

Why this matters: focus, emotional balance, and strength from within

When people feel mentally stronger, the effects often extend far beyond the mind alone.

Focus becomes easier to hold. Emotional balance feels less fragile. Stress is easier to absorb without becoming overwhelmed by it. Recovery habits become easier to maintain. Decision-making feels clearer. And there is often a stronger sense of composure, rather than constantly reacting to external pressure.

That is why EXOMIND® is not simply about performance in a narrow sense. It is about supporting the inner foundations that influence how we feel, how we cope, how we recover, and how consistently we can show up in life.

In that sense, EXOMIND® is about strength from within: supporting the resilience, clarity, focus, and balance that help people function at their best.

EXOMIND® within the Projuvenate experience

At Projuvenate, we do not see mental wellness in isolation. How you feel influences how you think, how you move, how you recover, how you perform, and how you relate to yourself and others.

That is why EXOMIND® sits so naturally within the wider Projuvenate experience, alongside:

  • advanced physiotherapy and movement optimisation for recovery, injury prevention, and long-term resilience
  • strength-building and performance strategies that support energy, confidence, and physical capability
  • aesthetic wellness that supports skin health, natural-looking rejuvenation, and confidence
  • an approach to healthy ageing that considers the full picture of how people want to feel and function over time

Our goal is simple: to take a proactive approach to health and wellness, helping people look their best, move freely, feel stronger, age well, and perform at their best in life, work, and sport.

EXOMIND® recognition, press, and why it is attracting attention

  • Menopause in Practice Menopause Awards 2026: EXOMIND® is listed among the finalists.
  • Aesthetics Awards 2026: EXOMIND® (BTL Aesthetics) is listed among finalists for Best New Innovative Product.
  • Vogue: EXOMIND® has been covered in mainstream media, including a first-person review exploring the experience in the context of perimenopausal brain fog and anxiety.

At Projuvenate, media coverage is not a substitute for clinical decision-making. The reason to choose EXOMIND® is whether it is appropriate for you, following consultation, in the context of your goals, health, and overall plan.

What to expect from an EXOMIND® session

EXOMIND® is designed to be comfortable and non-invasive. Sessions typically take under 30 minutes.

Most clients follow a mental wellness protocol of six sessions, usually spaced a few days apart. Some people notice a shift after a single session, while others experience more gradual change across the course.

Your plan is confirmed after consultation and designed to support overall mental wellbeing, including clarity, composure, resilience, and day-to-day performance.
